![]() Perfectly cooked, lamb, steak, chicken and fish. ![]() They provided us with pens (not crayons but we didn’t care) and the child’s drink cup, which was a plastic soup to go cup, complete with straw! We found this hilarious and touching. Here is where the accommodating continues the host found three large pieces of paper and stapled them together to make a drawing pad – huge hit. They offered crayons and a children’s meal and a child’s drink. They placed us in the main dining area, which I was immediately worried about (yes I am that diner, who does not care to have small children bopping about while I am in an up market restaurant) but they told us not to worry, that they would not be putting anyone next to us. I had not planned on brining a two year old but as it was my husbands’ birthday and there was a baby sitter crisis for my stepson, we had no options. We'd certainly visit for other occasions if we lived in the area, and plan to return when in the area again. For a first-rate restaurant, prices are quite reasonable. Vacations are a time to splurge Silo Elevated Cuisine is a perfect place to do just that. The Bottom Line - I'm glad we learned of this restaurant early enough to incorporate a visit into our itinerary. The decor was exquisite, featuring lots of chrome, glass and wood. Otherwise, both main courses were "spot on." Throughout our meal servers were very patient, answering questions and bringing both food and drink at appropriate times. Not surprisingly they were cut from fresh potatoes, but were somewhat greasier than we expected. We both enjoyed the garlic-Parmesan cheese fries that accompanied it. My burger was huge, cooked properly and most satisfying. My wife really enjoyed her grits and shrimp. Overall the rolls were not too strong, as duck can be, but they were a tad oily. They came with a semi-sweet dipping sauce that really complemented the flavor. (They were great for sandwiches and snacking.) Although not particularly fond of duck, we ordered the springrolls reasoning that if anyone could prepare that ingredient in a manner we'd enjoy, it would be chefs at a place like this. Piping hot, the slices tasted so good we bought a couple of loaves to take with us. (Our server commented many patrons had ordered the burger that day.) Immediately after ordering we received a basket of two kinds of freshly-baked artisan breads: sourdough and multi-grain. From the menu we selected an appetizer (crispy duck springrolls) and two lunch entrees: shrimp with cheese grits for my wife, and an Angus burger for me. As many have written, this restaurant provides a top-quality dining 's not just a place to fill up (although the portions can certainly do that.) We, along with everyone else in the lunch crowd, dressed somewhat informally (we went "business casual"), yet were treated in a regal manner. This allowed us to take in some sights downtown during the evening, when temperatures were more temperate. To accommodate our travel schedule, we made reservations for lunch one Saturday. We probably would never have heard of "Silo Elevated Cuisine" otherwise.
